During the Ormond Beach City Commission Meeting, Commissioner Partington stated:

"We had talked about doing an Airport Workshop on the quad project, I know that Commissioner Kent mentioned he was interested in having a workshop, a kinda of where do we go from here.  I'd like to have that workshop too and if there is a third person, I'd like to have it sooner than later, I don't think that it is something that will take more than two hours, but if there is a way to get that project back off of life support, or somehow speed things up out there, I think the Airport can be one of our most powerful engines..."

In response, City Mayor Kelley stated:

"I'm fine with a workshop that probably is the key to our future along with Ormond Crossings, that's one of the key ingredients that we have to use for the City...."

Subsequently, the City of Ormond Beach scheduled the "Ormond Beach Municipal Airport Southwest Quadrant Workshop" to be held on June 5, 2012.
